Legendary musical anarchists the KLF (Drummond / Cauty) released a book in 1988 telling you how to exactly grease the wheels of the corporate musical machine and get yourself a number 1 record.
Used by the likes of the Klaxons, Chumbawumba (rofl) & the KLF themselves its a great piss take / satirical look at the music business that actually works.
The model the KLF talk about in the manual is still relevant today - Perhaps even more so now with every major record label & film studio having a 10 year plan to release nothing but remakes & covers.
